Hello everyone Capt. Vinnie here, this week due to the heavy winds of hurricane Nicole we were not able to get out fishing as much as we would have liked but we did get a few trips in just before the blow. For the report this week I could say that the sailfish action is defiantly picking up and should only get better as we approach more of our winter months here in Fort Lauderdale. Trolling this week was productive with some nice catches of wahoo and mahi mahi. Just before and after a full moon specially in winter time months is always a fantastic time to go on the troll for species like wahoo. The mahi fishing has been very steady as of late and should continue to be good for about a week or so after storms like this one pass. Floating debris is always going to be the best thing to look for but weed lines and birds are always a great sign as well. Trolling ballyhoo as well as fresh bonito strips and seawitches is always a great combo to get some bites. Unfortunately this week I do not have a bottom fishing report due to the heavy winds and larger seas makes it very hard to stay in one spot to drop a line to the bottom, but when it calms down I would imagine that the bottom fishing is going to be red hot it usually always is just after a storm. Anyways I have a few photos of some recent fish caught during our deep sea fishing charters so check those out, Also remember to follow us on social media platforms like facebook and instagram @Ybnormalsportfising for daily fishing content. The weather is calming as I type this report and the weekend and next week look to have great weather to get out deep sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale the bite should be red hot, so if your coming down to Fort Lauderdale now would be a great time to get out and do some deep sea fishing!
