Hello everyone Capt. Vinnie here a fantastic report I have for you guys this week the fishing in Fort Lauderdale has been outstanding and I can’t wait to tell you about it. This week we have had a recent shift in some weather down here in the fort Lauderdale area some days heavy winds other days no wind, some days 50 degrees and others 75 degrees, either way seems to be the fishing are biting fairly well. This week starting offshore one of my favorite species to catch and eat is the wahoo which seem to be around somewhat daily depths from 200-400 feet have been the best bet and fishing planners to take baits under the surface has been our most productive way some larger fish this week seemed to have moved in the wahoo are averaging around 20lbs but there are larger ones around as well. While offshore fishing Dolphin have been plentiful and I mean plentiful, we have been fishing surface baits for them like small rigged ballyhoo as well as a strip bait. This year has been one of the best years for dolphin in Fort Lauderdale I have seen in a long time some nicer sized mahi have moved in as well which always makes for great fun and a great dinner. A few tuna as well are being caught to in depths from 300 to 500 feet fishing a vide variety of baits from surface lures to lies fished below the surface round 40 feet down. Kingfish and bonito have moved in to the reef and are biting fairly well, live bait has been working best for the kings right on the edge of the reef atom 90-120 feet with larger bonito mixed in. Bottom fishing has just began to pick up somewhat well lots of vermillion and lane snappers have been biting very well and nice sized as well. Fishing deeper structure anywhere from 300 feet has been best and multiple baited hooks sent down with fresh cut bait has been the best a few small almaco jacks in the mix also. All in all this week the bite is hottt and I can’t remember when there was such a variety of species biting just off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, anyway we should start to see winter time sail fishing in full effect so thats something to look forward to and very exciting. Make sure this week to check out some of our great photos of some recent catches while deep sea fishing. For the rest of November there is some availability so if you are coming down for the holidays and looking to do some fishing please check us out, also remember to follow us on social media platforms like facebook and instagram @Ybnormalsportfising for daily fishing videos and reports.
