Hello everyone Capt. Vinnie here this weeks report we are going to start out on the reef where the action has been very hot!! The kingfish have shown up and are hungry early morning has been best for them as of late, the fish have been averaging anywhere from 10-25lbs. Trolling has been the most productive way to catch them fresh bonito strips have been major key to enticing the kingfish to bite. Also while fishing the reef we have been catching plenty of bonito as well as a few blackfin tuna and wahoo when venturing a little bit deeper. There also has been quite a bit of sailfish still around during the summer which is somewhat unusual but also a great sight to see a sailfish jumping on the end of your line. As far as an offshore report for species like mahi mahi it has been very very hit and miss, if you can find something floating like debris you will most likely get lucky and have a great catch of mahi, also finding birds offshore is major key in having success offshore right now, a lot of the mahi are on the smaller size still but anyway we should see some bigger fish start to move through. bottom fishing has been somewhat slow as well for snapper and grouper we should see it begin to improve as we move later into the month of July, All in all lots of action on most trips and the weather has been excellent most days have been flat calm and somewhat overcast which always makes for a great deep sea fishing charter. This week I have some great photos of some recent catches on our deep sea fishing charters, one of the photos is of some beautiful sushi one of our recent customers homemade with some blackfin tuna they caught fishing with us. This week we have some availability if you in the Fort Lauderdale area and looking to get out fishing, please follow us on social media platforms like instagram and facebook @Ybnormalsportfishing for daily fishing photos and reports.
