Hello everyone Capt. Vinnie here, what a great report that we have this week for you guys, the bite has been very very good with lots of action just like the title says, first to start there has been an excellent bite on the reef with bonito, they are not great on the table but they do fight hard and there are plenty of them right now, next we have been catching a few blackfin tuna which is an excellent eating fish one of my favorites as well, they seem to be mixed in with the bonito, our best baits for the tuna and bonito is smaller lures trolled on the surface like small feathers or baby squid skirts as well as a silver spoon trolled on the planer just under the surface.
Now offshore there has been some mahi mahi but remember you have to have either the 8 or the 10 hour charter we offer to get out to the areas where they have been. The mahi are being found anywhere from 6-20 miles offshore. Most of the mahi right now are on the smaller size but there are a few decent sized schooling fish moving through daily.
We do have some great photos this week of some recent catches aboard the YB Normal out of Fort Lauderdale Florida. One of our photos this week was a great customer of ours named AL, he caught a 32lb king mackeral on a recent deep sea fishing charter.
The fish are biting all that is missing is you! We have some availability for the month of July and would love to have you out fishing with us, we do have ice cold ac in the cabin but remember you sunscreen it is hot!!
