Hello everyone we hope you are doing well, this week we did something a little different and thought you might be interested in knowing about it, a new style of fishing that has flooded the south Florida area is called slow pitch jigging it has become very popular, it is a very effective way to catch all types of fishing using jigs and no bait. The jigs for this type of fishing have different shapes and sizes in order to make them sink different ways and make them look like an injured baitfish. We recently did an all day trip focusing on slow pitch jigging and it was a success we caught a bunch of snapper as well as tuna and also a golden tilefish in 800 feet of water on a lure. Pretty impressive in my book. It was a great successful trip and we will be doing more soon. As far as our normal fishing goes we have been operational and catching some really nice fish, we have a great photo this week of a very nice sized wahoo that we caught on one of our daytime charters. There has been lots of tuna and kingfish starting to show up as well, a few dolphin or mahi mahi around as well, night fishing has been very good as well for yellowtail snapper and should continue to improve as we reach summer time. We are open for business in the great city of Fort Lauderdale and the YB Normal has been throughly cleaned and sanitized all that is missing is you! We hope that with everything going on in the works that everyone stays safe and of your looking to do some fishing please give us a call we would love to have you. We have some charters coming up this weekend so check back for a new report soon!!
More later…
