The rainy season is officially here but that doesn’t mean that the fish aren’t biting in Ft. Lauderdale. We have been having some excellent fishing the last week or so daytime fishing has been a great bite of kingfish, as well as mahi, our kingfish bite has been very good in the morning fishing with planners which help take baits deep, we have been using sea witches and bonito strips, most of the days we have been getting our limits on kingfish and after that heading offshore. Offshore there has been some nice size blackfin tunas anywhere from 200-500 feet of water the tuna have been caught on the surface using using small feathers as well as down deep on the planners fishing small spoons. On some of our longer trips like 6 hour and 8 hour we have been targeting mahi or dolphin a great gamefish with excellent colors and they taste great! The dolphin have been anywhere from 800-2000 feet of water they have been plentiful as well if your looking for mahi this is the time of year to book one of those charters! As far as night time goes the snapper fishing off Fort Lauderdale has been killer almost every night catching our limit of snapper from yellowtail, mangrove, and mutton snapper and a few red grouper the conditions at night have been fantastic with flat calm seas and light winds, the conditions should stay this way until end of July and the snapper fishing will only get better and better as we get later in the summer.

If your in the Fort Lauderdale area and looking for a deep sea fishing charter check out the YB Normal we offer a wide range of trips day and night to get you out on the water
